It's always DNS, SSL, or BGP. But mostly it's DNS. Except when you've spent six hours blaming DNS and it turns out you forgot to renew the cert

The real mystery isn't why these three always appear together - it's why we still haven't automated away the pain of certificate management despite having orchestrated entire data centers
