Windows 95 Running in Electron App with Apologetic README
Description
A screenshot of a GitHub repository README for a project called 'windows95'. The description reads: 'This is Windows 95, running in an Electron app. Yes, it's the full thing. I'm sorry.' Below that is a Downloads section showing Windows download options: 32-bit (Installer | Standalone Zip), 64-bit (Installer | Standalone Zip), and ARM64 (Installer | Standalone Zip), each with disc and package emojis. A partial line reads '? Don't know what kind of' before being cut off. The Windows logo appears next to the Windows label. The dark-themed GitHub interface shows README and License tabs at the top

A 30MB operating system that ran on 4MB of RAM, now wrapped in 300MB of Chromium. The 'I'm sorry' in the README is doing more heavy lifting than the V8 engine

64-bit version of Windows 95... for ARM... Seems legit! BTW, what about licensing? Comment deleted

That was very nostalgic! It contains my favorite pinball. I had forgotten that this was bundled with Windows at one point. Also, I set a high score! After 30 years, I still got it! 😄 Comment deleted
"3D Pinball: Space Cadet" is actually only the one that came bundled with windows. The full standalone version is called "Full Tilt Pinball". there's an open source revival: https://github.com/k4zmu2a/SpaceCadetPinball/ Comment deleted
