Is programming fun? It depends. Are we talking about the five minutes of euphoria after fixing a production bug, or the five hours of questioning every life choice that led up to it?
Fun? Programming is basically eventual consistency for emotions - joy eventually replicates to my brain after the deploy succeeds, but in the hot path it’s just retries, back-offs, and 3 AM pagers
